PLATH Corporation makes a strategic investment in BitRecords
PLATH Corporation continues its growth strategy and makes a strategic investment in BitRecords GmbH. The Flensburg-based company was founded in 2012 by the two managing directors Paul Hecke and Ivo Risch. The company specialises in the development and production of components and complete systems for automated information processing. This includes, in particular, products for the demodulation of broadband signals in real time. BitRecords GmbH thus complements and expands the product and solution portfolio of the entire PLATH Group with the ability to analyse radio signals in critical situations without any time delay, thereby making decisions even faster.
In the course of the investment, individual companies of the PLATH Group and BitRecords will work closely together and appear jointly on the market. Customers such as system integrators will thus benefit from an attractive overall offer in the future: the sensor products of PLATH Signal Products GmbH & Co. KG both locate and detects radio signals, which are in turn processed and demodulated in real time using BE-Com products from BitRecords. The software of the PLATH Group company PROCITEC GmbH can then process and analyse the signals. The result is a powerful solution from a single source.
‘By acquiring a stake in BitRecords GmbH, we are further expanding our product portfolio and will be able to put together even more attractive solution packages for our customers,’ explains Dr Ronald Meixner, managing director of PLATH Signal Products GmbH & Co. KG. ‘The demodulation technology of BitRecords GmbH complements our product range in a crucial aspect – information processing is significantly accelerated similar to the effects of a booster. Our customers benefit from this in critical situations where every second counts. They can now make their decisions even faster.’
‘We are pleased to have found a renowned partner in the market with the PLATH Group,’ says Paul Hecke, managing director of BitRecords GmbH and head of hardware development. ‘We gain additional market access and sales opportunities as a result. In return, the PLATH Group can benefit from our technology. This is a classic win–win situation for both sides.’
‘We are looking forward to the collaboration and are convinced that our two companies and our joint customers will stand to gain from this,’ adds Ivo Risch, managing director of BitRecords GmbH and head of software/firmware development.
